Sony ImageStation service is closing on Feb. 1st,2008 moving to Shutterfly
27 Sep 2007
got an email today informing me that one of the photo imaging website I used is closing down.. It’s Sony’s ImageStation! I’ve been using this service for quite some time cause it’s easy to use especially the uploading of photos is very simple and easy to use, just drag and drop and it’s done.. sad to see that this site had come to an end.
Now, they giving option to transfer to another portal called “Shutterfly”, will try it out and see if it’s better than Imagestation.
Here’s the announcement posted on their site.
Thank you for being an ImageStation member. Before we close, we want to help you find a new home for your images so we’ve been working with Shutterfly, the award winning photo service. We’ve made it easy to transfer your photos to Shutterfly so you can take advantage of their picture storage, sharing, high-quality prints, gifts and more-just scroll down and click Get Started. If Shutterfly isn’t for you, that’s OK-we’ve put together several ways to reunite you with your images below.
If you don’t want to transfer to Shutterfly, you can also download all the photos you have to your own computer.

| How do I download my images to my own computer? | |
| Answer | |
| We suggest you download your images to your own computer before initiating a transfer to Shutterfly. This way you will not only get access to your original size images but video clips and any non standard images that Shutterfly cannot accept.
Single Image Download For small accounts you can download your images one at a time.

Here’s a short video showing you how to do it!

Hey, I’ve been looking around at all these photo sites, trying to find a good service. Maybe you guys should look into PhotoWorks. They are pretty simple to use. From what I have read, their prints are slightly better and they ship faster than Shutterfly too. Probably the best thing about them is that you can sell your photos and anything that you make with your photos through the My Storefront page. Couple of my relatives bought my wedding albums already!
